And “Retrospectre” is now up on YouTube and NicoVideo! Many thanks to sami/@milqus for the art!

A reminder: the song is available for purchase digitally along with the full “Decagon” mini-album on Myriad’s Bandcamp, and all proceeds for the album go to the organization Musicians Without Borders!

It’s been almost 10 years since I started up my singing synth YouTube channel, and as of 2 days ago I’ve finally hit the 10k subscriber mark!

While in the grand scope of YouTube (and even in the larger VOCALOID/UITAU community) this isn’t exactly the biggest milestone, it’s a very important one for me. I had no idea I’d ever reach this point and I’m extremely grateful to each and every person who enjoyed my content enough to follow my little singing robot project. In addition, my personal Twitter account (@MystSaphyr) has reached 3k followers. Geez.

In celebration, and to liven up things on the channel a bit (since unfortunately real life continually interferes in my video production plans) I’ve posted a cover of  DIVELA’s “METEOR” using IA and IA_Rocks on the Mobile VOCALOID Editor. It’s something small for now, but I also have an original song post lined up for this weekend as a proper big 10k celebration. It’ll be the first original I’ve written that was on my own production time and not to meet a compilation album deadline, so I’m fairly proud of it!

UPDATE 10/14: In order to not rush myself due to overestimating the time it would take for mixing/video editing on my new song, I’m pushing it back to next weekend. HOWEVER I will be posting a video for an original today! (It’s just one of my earlier originals that didn’t have a video yet!)

And rest assured, I’m still neck-deep in work for Aiko’s VCCV, which will be coming by the end of the year! I hope y’all will look forward to it!

Hey everyone, I’m sure many of you have heard of the recent natural disasters that have ravaged Japan as of late, including the 6.7 earthquake that struck the northern island of Hokkaido last Thursday.

A group of dedicated VOCALOID fan artists, including myself, will be doing a relief charity art stream tomorrow from 1PM – 4PM CST. The stream will be hosted by VikingJesus on Twitch and all proceeds will benefit the Japanese Red Cross.

More info, including full artist list, can be found on mikumiku_ebooks’ tweet! Even if you can’t view the stream or donate, please help us by spreading the word!

VikingJesus will actually be streaming all day for charity, so it’d be good to tune in even if you can’t make it for the art block specifically.

Whew, I am in way over my head! I’m sorry to do this but there will likely not be a standard cover or new VB demo/release by July 10th this year.

It feels odd to break habit, but unfortunately Aiko’s birthday is at a rather inconvenient time. I’m neck-deep in UTAUVision, Miku Expo is on the 12th for me and I’m in the middle of preparing for that. Also, commissions that need to get done.

I’m currently in the process of recording Aiko’s VCCV English, and at the time of posting this, I am only around 1/2 done with RockLoud on its own. Rather than rush things out and get overwhelmed, I’m putting things on hold until after Miku Expo DC. I don’t think I’ll be able to hit Studio VOXYZ’S anniversary on the 17th either, so instead I’ll aim for the tail end of a July to post a nice big thing!

Now this doesn’t mean I won’t be doing ANYTHING for Aiko’s big day. I do have a small something planned, nothing too radical just a cute throwback that I’ve been meaning to post for a while.

So please wish us luck! So much to do so little time!
